Youth

Youth is our longest-running service, having been the foundation of our work since 1973. It is shaped in
response to the needs of young people in our area, as they take an active role in identifying and developing our programmes. The focus is to enable young people from 11 to 19 years old to develop socially, emotionally, educationally and physically, whilst raising their awareness of personal, social and political issues.

This includes a creative, imaginative approach to our work, incorporating themes such as race, equality, health, education, employment, citizenship, training and sports as well as a space to simply be, and build relationships with each other and our youthworkers.

Some of our recent programmes include ‘Fashion Binge’ (an intergenerational fashion arts programme),
Environmental Watch (an environmental media arts project) and a young person-led social enterprise
scheme.
