Skydive for the Winchester Project

On Saturday 14th March, over 20 people (supported by many more) will be jumping out of planes far above the Norfolk countryside in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for the Winchester Project and keep us afloat.

The economic crisis has been wide-ranging and far-affecting, and this has also been true of the voluntary sector, where a significant amount of financial support comes from grant-giving charities. As available funding reduces, and subscription to funds rocket, we have found ourselves struggling to make up the administrative shortfall which our programmes require: costs associated with our building, support and taking the Winch into the future.

We have asked all of our skydivers to raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship, 100% of which will go to the Winch, whilst local businesses and individuals have contributed jump fees for the divers. Participating in the day, we have Winch workers, young people, youthworkers from the council, members of the police force, staff from Barclays Bank and even Ham & High journalist Susanna Wilkey!

If you would like to jump do get in touch with us - or if you are able to sponsor anyone jumping, please visit our online pages at Help.co.uk, accessible here. Alternatively, come along on the day to offer support!
