At the Winchester Project, we are interested in securing our long-term future and offering more to the local and wider community. Achieving these goals means moving beyond a solely funding-based approach and developing alternative ways of generating income, whilst providing services. 'Social enterprise', a much-touted and extremely commendable approach to supporting voluntary sector organisations, enables us to improve our sustainability and fund the work which may not be latest on the public agenda, but remains crucial.
