Introducing the Project The Winchester Project is a youth and community centre based in northwest Camden, London. The area is like many in London, with a high concentration of local authority housing and low income families, flanked by some of the most affluent streets in the city. We provide a safe environment in which children and young people take part in social, educational and recreational activities, including those from the Chalcot estate, one of the top ten most deprived estates in the borough. Several hundred children and young people use our services each year, across three project streams: Play, Sport and Youth. Around two and a half thousand local people access the Winchester Project annually, through our ongoing programmes, community activities or the use of our space. For more information, please read our 2009 Annual Report.
