aims

We strive to work with children and young people in our local area so they can grow in confidence and
maturity, make their dreams into reality, fulfil their potential and contribute to their community. We do this
through our Play, Sport and Youth programmes, and a variety of training and volunteering initiatives.

We also exist to facilitate access for the most disadvantaged to services within the voluntary, statutory and
private sectors through work, often in partnership, which ensures that all children and young people in our
community benefit from the improved facilities and services in our fast-changing, redeveloping area of Swiss Cottage.

Our Mission Statement

The Winchester Project exists to provide friendship, fun and positive new experiences for young people.

Aims

We want to

  • give children and young people the aspiration, confidence and tools to become active and full members of the community
  • provide children and young people with a safe and friendly environment in which they can pursue social, recreational and education activities
  • ensure that access to our activities, services and space is available to all children and young people in the area, regardless of ethnicity, religion, social or economic circumstances, sexuality, disability or any other area
  • facilitate access to information and services in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors for children and young people and the wider community
  • provide a centre within which local people can come and participate in community
